Asics® Gel-Ultimate #9925W
Cheer shoes are a vital piece to a cheerleader’s uniform. There are specific features that separate cheer shoes from an ordinary athletic trainer. Let’s take a closer look at the newest cheer shoe from Asics
, the Gel-Ultimate to see how it maximizes the features for your cheer team!
Comfort
The main factor when purchasing shoes for your cheer squad is comfort. Cheerleaders are on their feet for long periods of time, and they need something that is supportive yet has maximum comfort. The Asics Gel-Ultimate has a built in Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System, which is a great benefit for tumblers who are often landing firmly on their feet.
Other important features you will want to look for in a cheer shoe will depend on the skills that your squad will be performing. Does your squad perform stunts, long tumbling passes, or cheer all year long? These different factors will play a role in the shoes you should purchase.
Extra Support
Unlike other athletic shoes, cheer shoes have more ankle support and better flexibility for movement. This is extremely important for cheerleaders who tumble and perform stunts. You need a shoe that fits securely but also gives the cheerleader support and flexibility. The Asics Gel-Ultimate has both a leather and mesh upper support along the ankle.
Indoor/Outdoor
Make sure to check if the shoes you are looking to purchase are for indoor or outdoor use only. If you are cheering all year long, you will want to purchase an “outdoor use” cheer shoe. The Asics Gel-Ultimate is safe for outdoor use, meaning it would be a great shoe for a team that cheers both indoor and outdoors.
Sole Options
Some cheer shoes come with finger grooves along the bottom sole of the shoe. This helps the cheer bases to have a good grip on the shoe of the flyer while performing lifts and stunts, helping to maximize his or her safety.
Brand Options
Superior Cheer carries all the best brands of cheer shoes, including Asics, adidas, Nfinity, Kaepa, Zephz, and No Limit.
Nfinity has just released the Rival, a great outdoor sideline shoe that is 100% synthetic leather, has stunt grips along the rubber sole, high spring EVA, weighs a featherweight 5.9 oz., and has a thick mid-sole for comfort that lasts throughout training!

Spirit flags and Battle flags are a fun way to incorporate the crowd into any game or pep session!
Choose one of our designs
or create one of your own. Whether you are going for a more traditional look or a modern design, if you can dream it, we can print it!
So, what’s the difference between a Spirit flag and a Battle flag?
Size! Spirit flags measure 36” x 54” and are recommended to use with a 6’ pole (
item# 58102
).
Battle flags (pictured above) are much larger at 58” x 80”, so go for the 10’ bungee pole (
item# 58225
).
Is that the only difference? Yep, that's it!
Here are some features that you’ll enjoy with either the Spirit or Battle flag:
Vibrant colors
– Printed with the highest quality inks, our flags sport 100% front saturation and 99% back saturation.
Durable fabric
– Quality is a must at Superior Cheer. That’s why all our flags are made of the highest grade Poly China Silk!
Machine washable
– Dirt happens. Our flags are made to handle that! Just toss them in the washing machine on a delicate cycle in cold water. A mild detergent can be used if necessary. Tumble dry low or no heat and remove promptly to prevent wrinkles! Forgot to take them out of the drier? No sweat! Just cool iron as needed.
Made in the USA!
– Quality that speaks for itself!
1-year warranty
– Backed by Superior Cheer’s warranty against manufacturing defects. Now that you know a little about our Spirit and Battle flags, how do you get started?
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a minimum order?
A: No! You can order just one of your design(s), or you can order as many as you like. There are no minimums.
Q: How much does it cost to get a sketch?
A: Sketches of your designs and ideas are absolutely free!
Q: How do I attach the flag to the pole?
A: You can attach your flag to the pole one of two ways. You can 1) use the hook-and-loop attachments included with your pole and flag purchase or 2) you can tape the flag to the pole. We usually recommend the hook-and-loop method for clean, easy on and off!
Q: Can I get the letters to read correctly, regardless of which side of the flag I am looking at?
A: Yes! This is what we call a double-sided flag. We print your flag twice and sew the pieces together, back to back. This will make sure your letters/words read correctly, no matter how you look at it! (Well, unless it’s upside down, that is.
)
Now that you know a little about the flags, which one is best suited for you and your team? Here are some factors that might help you decide which size flag fits you:
Are you looking to spell out a mascot or school initials on each individual flag? Spirit flags work better with larger words or phrases, such as “GO TEAM” or “SPARTANS”. Battle flags are great for school initials, like “NPHS” or “ECC”. Both sizes work great for mascots and school pride.
Where will you be using these flags? For smaller stadiums, fields, or courts, Spirit flags work great to accent the space. Larger areas can sometimes swallow Spirit flags, so it might work better for your team to look into Battle flags.
Who will be using the flags? While a Battle flag on a 10’ pole is easily managed by a high school student, an elementary or middle school student could have trouble hoisting it. Opt for a Spirit flag if your bearer is of small stature.
You’re all set! You know the in’s and out’s of Spirit and Battle flags! So what's next? Give us a call to get started on your own design! Our friendly sales staff is happy to assist in creating your very own customized flag.

With camp and summer vacation in full force, it is easy to get wrapped up in fundraising and the hard work that it takes to make sure you have all the necessities for the coming year. Don’t forget to show each other some love with a team bonding session! A night in with your cheer mates can be exactly what the doctor ordered to wind down and just have fun!
Here are some great ideas to get together and spread some cheer where it counts:
Go Classic
Make a reservation at a local restaurant and enjoy a fun dinner together. Finish up the night with a movie, popcorn, and candy, and you are set. Don’t forget to carpool – the drive is half the fun!
Lock it in, Dance it out
Have a sleepover/lock-in at the school gym. Bring snacks, sleeping bags, and a messy bun. Don’t forget your favorite tunes! Dress code: Pajamas only!
Summer = Swimming
What is better than a cool pool on a hot summer day? A pool party with friends, of course! Bring a beach towel and lots of sunscreen!
Go Local
Have a theme park close by? A lake with a dock? An arcade? Whatever you choose, boost community pride by showing your comradery off at a local hub. You’ll be having fun and promoting school spirit at the same time. Go team!
Have a game night!
Choose a couple of fun games to camp and gather at one of your team mate's house one evening for a game night. You can bring Twister, Pictionary, Guesstures, or any game you like. You could even do this without bringing any games by playing something like charades where all you’ll need is paper, pens, and some ideas.
Senior Scrapbooks
Send off your seniors properly by gifting them a book full of all the great memories of cheer through the years. Make sure to leave a few blank pages to fill in this year’s fun!
We hope you’ll give these ideas a try! Got a few ideas of your own? Or an annual team bonding event we should know about? Be sure to comment below and share your ideas!
